Quick and Dirty: A few good reads

Posted on Dec 17, 2007 by Adam Miller in Quick and Dirty | 0 Comments

It’s been a while since I posted a QD for you, so here are a few articles I’d recommend.

Penelope Trunk has a great article over at The Brazen Careerist, covering how to figure out what you can ignore.  Many of us get to a point where balance seems impossible purely because of how many things we need to do.  Some of the things she lists as tasks she’s ignored might even seem important, but did the world stop because they werent done?  Nope.  Take that message to heart.

Also, for those looking to destress, and who isn’t at this time of year, whether your stress be related to Christmas, year end at work, the weather (coming from someone who is probably going to have to shovel for the fourth time in two days after work tonight), or anything else, we can all use a few tips.  Check out this article over at Awake At The Wheel by Jonathan Fields.  A great list of ideas to un-bake your brain, covering a wide range of potential activities.  Be sure to check out the comments there, or over at Lifehacker’s link to the article (how I originally found it).  On a side note, I love it when Lifehacker posts links to new blogs that I haven’t seen but love at first sight/site.  It’s just been added to my Google Reader list, I’d say check to see if it would suit yours as well!

Cheers,

Adam
