Best of LiveWorkBalance - December 2007
Well, another year has come and gone (do they just keep getting faster or is it just me?). 2007 was the beginning of my official foray into the world of blogging, and December was the end of my first quarter. As I’ve mentioned in these posts previously, I’ve learned a lot, and I don’t expect this to change in the future!
Without further ado, here are a few articles from December that stood out, if you haven’t yet had a chance to read them, please check them out!
The gift of balance
While this was orignally written with the season in mind, it’s a quick overview of some gift ideas for those who may be concious of work-life balance and personal productivity, and can really be used at any time of year.
Setting the Scene: The . . . uh . . . setting
This was part three of a series I wrote on using a few tips from the media to help with your internal environment and own personal development. Specifically, this article dealt with how to make changes in your external environment to align it with your goals and help motivate yourself. Ranging from small details to complete change in setting, there are lots of things you can do to help.
I’m dreaming of a balanced Christmas
This article takes a different look at gift giving. Mainly, this relates to thinking at a deeper level about the gifts you might be giving, not necessarily as to what the gift might be, but what the deeper impact of such a gift might be on the recipient.
New Year’s Results
My last post of the year, I talk about New Year’s Resolutions and some ways to make them work. Over the past few weeks I’ve seen many articles talking about whether you not you should make New Year’s Resolutions or not, and this is me coming down squarely on the fence. Basically, make the resolution(s), but there’s no need to limit them to January 1st.
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading these as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them, and I look forward to more in the future!
Cheers,
Adam
