Quick and Dirty: Lowering Your Stress
Yes, I’m back, and look forward to a full post tomorrow. But to ease back into the swing of things, here’s a quick list of tips from Gretchin Rubin of The Happiness Project, showing 20 easy ways to lower your daily stress level.
My faves? Probably always having a good book to read (or a portable video game handy, I’m a big fan of both), listening to a favourite song, and making your bed.
That last one actually surprised me, as I will admit, I’m not always the most prompt at making the bed. But the feeling of coming home and heading to change in a room with a made bed is more than worth the 30 seconds it really takes in the morning. That sense of order just makes things a little more calming . . . (Yes, Mom, I know, you’ve been trying to tell me that for years.)
